This week’s Friday Follow is a bit quirkier than usual. I have a ton of people who inspire me and fill me with joy or interest or just plain make me laugh - and these are all good things. But, some days I’m poring over my art and my writing and I just don’t have the brainpower needed to read anything or ponder stuff or engage with other people. This week has been like that. Some weeks I just need a diversion and a means to reset my whirring grey matter.

So, if this relates to you and you need something fun and mindless to chill out with, then I suggest you head on over to the Infinite Wheel and get lost playing with the music. You might want to take the phone off the hook and put your to do list to one side, because you will probably get sucked in for longer than you thought - enjoy! (The daisies are my favourite.)

The old adage that you should do art every day certainly applies here - I had a full art day and it did me the power of good! Apart from anything else, continuously producing art, whether it comes to anything or stands as an experiment, really helps your confidence to grow in leaps and bounds. And don’t forget the layers! A layer of gesso, a layer of newsprints, some acrylic, some stencils, transfers, collage material - keep going until you reach that Zen point where you are in the zone and something quite wonderful will happen, trust me!
